01

Pick Your Subject with Precision

Start with one physical object (e.g. a matte red ceramic coffee mug, sneaker, notebook, or your real product). Keep details minimal to avoid AI confusion.

02

Teach the Three Shortcuts

Copy the one-time setup block into your AI chat. Your assistant learns hero_product, macro, and medium_shot shortcuts.

03

Run the 6-Point Quality Checklist

Evaluate subject integrity, color consistency, realistic edge details, editorial copy space, real-world accuracy, and output aspect ratios.

Step 02 / The One-Time Setup

Teach Your Assistant the Shortcuts

Paste this entire block once at the start of your conversation. Wait for the reply: "Ready. Send your first /image command."

02 / PASTE THIS SETUP ONCE IN CHAT
For this conversation, use this small starter command set. These are custom shortcuts I am teaching you. Syntax: /image COMMAND SUBJECT, optional changes. If I say "this," use the image I attach to that message. If I do not attach one, use our most recent image of the subject. If no reference exists, ask what subject I mean. Keep the subject, main color, materials, and important features consistent across requests. Use the reference when one is supplied. Do not add logos, words, or extra products unless I request them. hero_product: Create one product-style still image. Make the subject the clear focus, with a simple background, soft studio lighting, believable materials, and a subtle contact shadow. Show the complete subject. Default to square composition. macro: Create one still image showing an extreme close-up of a useful detail of the subject. Emphasize the material and texture, with sharp focus on the chosen detail and a softly blurred background. Default to square composition. If I give a reference, retain its visible design. medium_shot: Create one still image showing the subject in a relevant setting. Keep it large enough to recognize, with an uncluttered scene and natural lighting. Default to square composition. Use the setting I specify, or choose a simple one that fits the subject. Apply my optional changes to the relevant command. Do not combine commands unless I ask. If you can generate images here, generate one image when I invoke a command. Otherwise, return one complete image prompt for me to paste into my image generator. Reply: "Ready. Send your first /image command."
IMAGE 01Hero Product

Make the Subject Stand Out

Clean product still image with studio lighting, believable materials, and subtle contact shadow.

COMMAND ONE
/image hero_product a matte red ceramic coffee mug, plain light gray background, no words or logo
What to look for:
  • Full mug is visible
  • Handle has a believable shape
  • Background does not compete
Pro tip: Ask to move mug to the right half to leave clear headline space for social graphics.
IMAGE 02Macro Detail

Bring One Detail Closer

Extreme close-up on texture or small feature with sharp rim focus and softly blurred background.

COMMAND TWO
/image macro this, focus on the rim and matte ceramic texture of the red mug, no words or logo
What to look for:
  • Selected detail stays ultra-sharp
  • Material looks authentic matte ceramic
  • Red color matches Image 1 exactly
Pro tip: "this" refers to the generated mug from step 1, preserving design coherence.
IMAGE 03Medium Shot

Show Where It Belongs

Places the subject in an uncluttered lifestyle setting with natural lighting and editorial room.

COMMAND THREE
/image medium_shot this, on a small wooden desk near a window, soft morning light, no people, no words or logo
What to look for:
  • Mug remains easy to recognize
  • Shape and color match the reference
  • Desk & window fit without clutter
Pro tip: Specify 16:9 for presentation slides or 4:5 for Instagram feeds in your prompt!
06 / Check Your Results

The 6-Point Professional Review Checklist

Keep what works. Change one thing at a time. Before publishing to your website, catalog, or ad campaigns, run your generated batch through these criteria:

Refinement Command Formula

"Keep the parts that match my brief. Change only [one specific issue]. Use the attached image as the reference."

1

Subject Accuracy

Does the image show the exact physical object requested without morphing or weird additions?

2

Cross-Shot Consistency

Do the primary color, silhouette, and tactile finish match identically across all 3 camera angles?

3

Detail Realism

Are edges, handles, shadows, reflections, and ceramic textures physically believable?

4

Negative Copy Space

Can you overlay a headline, price tag, or call-to-action button without obscuring the subject?

5

Commercial Truthfulness

If this visual represents an actual product you sell, does it honestly represent what customers receive?

6

Aspect Ratio & Crop

Does the crop fit its destination channel (e.g., 16:9 for presentations, 1:1 for shop feeds, 9:16 for stories)?
